What are virtual addresses in eEvidence and what are they used for?

If you want to register on eEvidence with an email address that has DMARC applied to the domain, we will assign you a virtual address.

Adopting the DMARC protocol allows free email providers to ensure that emails delivered to recipients have a legitimate origin. This way, the recipient of an email from a generic domain sender can be confident that the received email is not an impersonation.

This requires eEvidence to certify the email from these senders using a virtual email address, as eEvidence's mail servers are not authorized to deliver emails on behalf of these generic domains.

This virtual address will be visible to the recipient. In any case, we include an additional setting in the email so that when you click "reply," your real address appears.
