I want to register a file: should I email it to myself?

I plan to use the service to enforce the intellectual property rights of my digital files. Should I attach the files to an email and send it to myself?

You can, but there's a better way.

An eEvid is meant to register both the contents and the delivery of an email. You could email yourself any content or file if you wanted to register just the content, but we wanted to offer you a more logical approach to this:.

  1. Compose your email as usual, attaching files if necessary. No subject is required.
  2. Send the email to register@tools.eevid.com from an eEvidence registered address.

Within seconds you will receive back an eEvid.Cert meant for file registrations only.
